This continuing education workshop is perfect for rehabilitation professionals who want to expand their knowledge of pelvic dysfunctions including back, pelvic and hip pain, incontinence, and constipation. Using a case-based approach, participants will practice examination techniques including palpation, assessment of breathing and movement patterns with a focus on pelvic stability and mobility. Interventions that tap into manual therapy, yogic principles of pranayama, mindfulness and energy-flow, and nutrition will be discussed, practiced, and integrated into rehabilitation plans of care. This workshop includes lecture and lab activities, so please be ready to move up and down off the floor…comfortable clothes are a must! Bring a yoga mat and blanket, if you have them, blocks and bolsters are optional. Prior to the workshop, participants will be required to independently read and appraise a scientific article that will be the basis for discussion during lunch on Sunday.
