Service Description

This workshop has been approved by NJBPTE #2401-06 for 18.0 CEs.* We all know the Michael Hyatt quote, "You can't take care of anyone else unless you first take care of yourself." Here's an opportunity to do just that. This workshop is more of a retreat than a workshop, offering a unique transformative continuing education experience. Taught by experienced physical therapists who are also yoga and mindfulness teachers, this retreat will equip healthcare professionals with practical tools and strategies to prioritize and enhance their health, well-being, and resilience through effective self-care practices. Although some time will be spent reviewing concepts of resilience, stress, and wellness, along with the scientific literature, the primary purpose of this weekend retreat is to give participants the opportunity to fully experience techniques and approaches for health and wellness, including mindfulness practices, breath work, meditation, and shinrin-yoku (forest bathing). *Prior to the workshop, participants will be required to independently watch an educational video on the science of sleep, create a document entitled "100 Favorite Things", and read the "Introduction to Atlas of Care." Educational Objectives By the end of this course, participants will have: • Developed a comprehensive understanding of the importance of self-care in healthcare. • Acquired practical tools for integrating self-care practices into their personal and professional lives. • Initiated steps for improved resilience through experiential learning. • Developed a supportive community and sustainable strategies for enhancing health and well-being. This workshop will be held at the Landgrove Inn, Landgrove, VT. It is residential, and all participants are highly encouraged to stay at the Landgrove Inn. Rooms are APPROX. $240 single occupancy per night/per person or APPROX. $150 double occupancy per night/person, plus tax and services. Room fee includes all meals. A facility fee will be charged for anyone not staying at the Inn. Please contact Tom Checchia at the Landgrove to reserve your room or to discuss the facility fee.
